		<description>Iris van Herpen -
Sculpting the SensesImmersive soundtrack for exhibition

11th of May 2026 to 6th of December 2026
@ Brooklyn Museum, New York

Sculping the senses pays tribute to Dutch fashion designer Iris van Herpen, now recognized as one of the most avant-garde figures of her generation. Organized as an immersive and sensory exploration into the designer’s universe, this retrospective merging fashion, contemporary art, design and science, revolves around eight themes that identify the very essence of van Herpen’s body of work.

At the heart of this immersive journey lies an extraordinary collaboration with sound artist Salvador Breed, whose rich sonic tapestry adds a new dimension to the retrospective.

Breed's sonic reverie draws inspiration from the fusion of technology, nature, and human creativity that defines Iris van Herpen's aesthetic. The result is an audio landscape that mirrors the ethereal and otherworldly qualities inherent in van Herpen's fashion.The sonic contribution not only enhances the exhibition but also serves as an independent work of art, echoing the boundary-pushing spirit of Iris van Herpen herself.

		<description>ICK - L.A.V.A.Composition and Sound Design for dance performance

L.A.V.A. is an intensely physical and sonic journey through a landscape of tension, friction and underground currents. Two leading voices in European dance, Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten from Amsterdam and Roberto Zappalà from Catania, Sicily, bring their choreographic worlds together in an international co-production of contrasts and force. Not a double bill, not a fusion, but a confrontation — a field of tension where difference sparks new movement.

The dance moves like lava: layered and unpredictable. Bodies collide, pulse, harden and break open again. The music is an autonomous force: assertive and independent. A sonic field of rhythmic tension and seismic vibration that challenges, supports and counteracts the choreography. L.A.V.A. shows how intensity emerges from difference. Not through harmony, but through friction. Not through distance, but through proximity. The audience finds itself at the heart of this eruption of movement and sound.

L.A.V.A. will premiere on Friday, July 3 at Julidans in Meervaart, Amsterdam.

		<description>Drift WoodMusic composition and spatial sound design for modern dance performance

Premiered on 01-12-2025 at Paris Opera Garnier‘Drift Wood’ is a choreography by Imre &#38;amp; Marne van Opstal
A musical collaboration with Amos Ben Tal.

‘Drift Wood’ is a reflection on the relationship between our essential human nature and the layers of conditioning that shape who we become.Taking its inspiration from the romanticism of nature and the collective memory of community, the piece unfolds through the surreal lens of a diorama, created yet real and alive. Like pieces of driftwood carried by unseen currents, we are each marked by time, memory, and circumstance.Through movement, sound and image, Drift Wood peels back the layers, revealing fragments of instinct and resistance but also of connection and contradiction. What emerges is a play between the raw and the constructed, the private and the prescribed, the solitude we carry and the bonds we cannot escape.What remains when we strip everything away?What parts of us are shaped by the tide—and what parts are still our own?

World premiere:
October 11-15, 2023
@ Park Avenue Armony, New York

Directed by Arca, Mutant;Destrudo congregates her close friends and collaborators around a shared vision of creating space to allow for deconstruction of preconceptions. This ambitious new project is steeped in electronic music sound design to induce various states of embodied physicality and synthesize new ways to mediate both the ego and identity at large. The resulting Armory commission continues her ongoing practice of creating instances which merge all forms of creative practice, reexamining the ritual of the concert as a moment of heightened connection between those present.
Using 4DSOUND technology, ARCA’s music, voice and live instruments where spatially mixed and played during the shows.

Arca (the pseudonym of shape-shifting artist, singer, DJ, performer, and composer Alejandra Ghersi) has made her indelible mark by developing a transcendent, transgressive body of work that has collapsed long-standing barriers between artist and art, human and technology, avant-garde and pop, and many disciplines from music to visual art to fashion and beyond.&#38;nbsp;

		<description>The Bone AlgorithmInstallation concept and composition&#38;nbsp; for dance performance

The space moves the dancers, their movement generates sound, the sound redesigns the space.... The result is a delicate interplay of cause and effect, but who is the instrument and who is the player?

The Bone Algorithm is an interdisciplinary performance with a kinetic installation that produces music through the movement of the dancers.&#38;nbsp;

The performance poses the question: Could the inner workings of Artificial Intelligence be reversed in Organic Intelligence? Amos Ben-Tal, Gosse de Kort and Salvador Breed once again join forces and explore the theme of the "devolution" of technology. The performance imagines a possible future where a tipping point is reached and life starts to imitate technology. What kind of beings would we become? The Bone Algorithm is intriguing not only for the experienced dance lover, but also for fans of visual art and new music. Interweaving powerful dance, sound and image, the three artists create a total experience for the audience.

		<description>ICK - WE the LUSTSound design for dance performance

"The passion for living burns like an insatiable flame, dancing on the edge between redemption and damnation, with the fervor of gods and the envy of demons." – Ai Signature

Inspired by Théodore Géricault’s painting The Raft of the Medusa, this multidimensional performance deeply explores the human survival instinct. NOUS, le RADEAU /WE, the LUST takes the audience on a floating raft navigating the waves of passion – this ambiguous current of desire and madness, loss of control, suffering and joy and euphoria. From a chaotic crescendo to a slow reduction to a burning core, choreographers Emio Greco &#124; Pieter C. Scholten and composer Franck Krawczyk probe the depths of human existence. During this journey, passion is a drifting force in search of more desire, offering hope, hallucination, erotic taboo, and brutality, leaving the body exhausted but open to new utopias. How can we make our humanity more human? What do we do with our growing impulses? Which paths should we take in this era? Dancers, musicians, and a large choir embrace madness and surf the waves of desire: WE, the LUST. Together, they form the heart of a broad spectrum of dynamic energies. They represent that untamed force within each of us that emerges in those moments where our existence is challenged.&#38;nbsp;

_
Quotes:

"Dancers, musicians, technical team: the unity and synchronicity with which we worked toward a shared vision made us reconsider what society, individuality, and community mean. What makes us human, our differences and connections to animal, god, demon and machine. The boundary between the physical, the spiritual, and the digital has shifted and continues to resonate in the performances." – Choir member, Paris
-

"ecstatic and all-encompassing creation, a journey into the heart of human magma."

The precise and versatile scenography, the lighting, and the collective effort of all involved create an unimaginable result that only art can achieve.

This is a cult-worthy performance that deserves international success and a return to Paris, allowing us to vibrate and journey on the raft, emerging transformed by the human experience.

		<description>PART Composition and live electro-acoustic for dance&#38;nbsp;
in collaboration with &#38;nbsp;OFFprojects and Ragazze Quartet.

Fragmentation, emptiness and Beethoven.

PART is a collaboration between OFFprojects, Ragazze Quartet and sound designer Salvador Breed. &#38;nbsp;In this project we explore notions of fragmentation and emptiness through movement, sound and space. We ask ourselves what happens when we dismantle the whole and examine the individual parts: are we destroying, or are we creating space for something new? With Beethoven’s string quartet opus 132 as a departure point we deconstruct, play and search for this potential.

The piece is made for big spaces while at the same time being an intimate encounter between the audience and the performers. Sound designer and composer Salvador Breed utilizes 4DSOUND technology to break down and reimagine Beethoven’s score – creating an immersive sonic choreography that interacts with dancers and musicians alike.

“Pure dance and playful abstraction evokes a sensation of freedom”
– Theaterkrant review

“You will experience the fascinating wandering through the different parts of this monumental piece of music as an immersion, thanks to the atmospheric interventions by sound artist Salvador Breed. With disruptive manipulations, ghostly echoes and murmurs that sound from every conceivable angle, Breed constantly allows the dancers, the musicians and the audience to experience the space differently.”&#38;nbsp;
