Imaginary Limit

Audiovisual Installation in collaboration with Nick Verstand.

‘Imaginary Limit’ symbolises the internal limitations we impose upon ourselves by influencing our perception of light and sound. Using optical illusions created by materialised laser light synchronous to spatially positioned speakers, the viewers perception is influenced and subsequently altered in a 3-dimensional environment. By constructing these imaginary boundaries of light, the audiovisual composition constantly reshapes the perceived surroundings. The work is created site specific for MIRA Festival, using the architecture of the Sala Turquesa as a canvas.

Created in collaboration with  Nick Verstand—a contemporary artist exploring human behaviour and perception through spatial audiovisual composition.
